The majority of our incoming students seek a traditional 4-year education; however, Beekman also provides tailored programs that allow students to:

• Accelerate coursework for an early graduation
• Extend graduation an extra semester or year
• Customize their schedules, such as morning or afternoon-only classes, and reduced course loads

Extensive Curriculum

The Beekman curriculum is extremely comprehensive, offering a vast array of standard academic courses and numerous interesting electives. In addition to providing all of the traditional college-prep courses, we offer:

• University-level courses in math, science, humanities, and English
• A wide range of electives, from Astronomy to Web Design
• Student-specific courses for almost any topic through The Tutoring School, our on-site individualized learning program
• Off-site tutoring for course credit

Individual Attention

Beekman’s intimate setting is ideal for focusing attention on the needs of each student.

• An average class size of 8 students (maximum of 10) provides more opportunities to ask questions, debate alternatives, and discuss solutions
• Beekman teachers closely monitor individual performance and provide immediate feedback
• Teacher-supervised study halls provide a focused area for reading, studying, and completing homework assignments
• Concentrated help in specific subject areas is available through one-on-one tutoring

Exceptional Faculty

The Beekman faculty is highly regarded for its skills in motivating each student, creating new paths for learning, and building student confidence.

• The faculty meets regularly as a group to assess individual student progress and to create coordinated approaches for enhancing student development
• Teachers are on a first-name basis with students to encourage informal communication, share experiences, and foster an environment for mentoring and support
• Teachers maintain close ties with parents, providing ongoing updates by phone, email, regularly scheduled written reports, and on-site conferences when needed
